Need trailer for a starwind 22

Postby bhender999 on Tue Jul 13, 2010 1:39 am

Guess the title says it all. I am capable and willing to modify an existing trailer for the boat, but really don't want to if I don't have to. If I have to, does any one have a "dry dock" plan for the hull or measurement that would assist me in locating the keel support and the support pads? Any opinions on single axle vs dual axle? Brakes or don't bother (tow vehicles will be 33' motorhome or 1994 F350 diesel)?

I have an '83 Shoreline, single axle, with new tires, rims, winch strap, chains, bunks, and keel guide ons. The trailer is from our Starwind 19 that was destroyed in a storm. The trailer is steel. Not galvanized, but very good condition. It spent most of it's life sitting at a fresh water marina. Let me know if you would like to see pictures.

Live every day as if it were your last, for it may be!
